Women In Cancer Research Scholar Award went to Dr. Martha Gay at this past AACR Annual Meeting

Martha Gay, PhD was honored as a Women In Cancer Research Scholar Award for her work exploring prevention of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis progression to liver cancer at this year’s American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

Her mentor, Jill Smith, MD, a professor of Medicine at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and a Gastroenterologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, was honored during the AACR Annual Meeting 2019 as the recipient of a 2019 AACR-Bayer Innovation and Discovery Grant for her work on translational research for hepatocellular carcinoma.
