Speaker(s):  Jacqueline Jonklaas, MD, PhD

Dr. Jonklaas is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University, Co-Director of the Participant and Clinical Interactions component of the GHUCCTS, and Director of the Clinical Research Unit at Georgetown. Dr. Jonklaas obtained her MD, residency, and fellowship training at Georgetown University. Her NIH-supported clinical and translational research and patient care both focus on management of thyroid cancer and on the assessment and treatment of hypothyroidism. Her research spans from early molecular work through biomarker studies, novel therapies, clinical trials, and patient reported outcomes and then to translation into clinical practice via her leadership of the guidelines committee of the American Thyroid Association.
