Bio: I am a third year PhD candidate interested in how hippocampal oscillations with a critical role in memory consolidation become disrupted in Alzheimer's disease. I approach this problem through the techniques of electrophysiology, calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry, and computational modeling. I have a background in physics, with a B.S. from the University of Oregon and an M.S. from Portland State University. I am drawn to the interdisciplinary and translational nature of neuroscience, and hope to add to the growing body of work that bridges basic science findings in animal models to human pathology.
